3rd Grade
Third grade is very challenging year. It is the first year of End Of Grade (EOG) testing, so children are taught a lot of test taking skills and strategies. All of the math essentials are taught including multiplication. Reading is taught in many different ways through the reading book, novels, and other units. Science and social studies are taught in thematic units and are integrated into both math and reading. Third grade is a year of maturity where students are asked to do tasks more independently and problem solve on their own.
